MOTO GUZZI motorcycle parts

The Moto Guzzi motorcycles are built by the same-name company founded in 1921. It became famous as a manufacturer of bikes with V-engines with the cylinders arranged at 90°. Due to their unusual design, these power units distinctly project at both sides of the motorcycle body. The factory belongs to the Piaggio & C. S.p.A company. The manufacturing is carried out in Italy, in Mandello del Lario.

Establishment of the brand

The company made its first motorcycle in 1921. It was called Normale. Released in 1939, the Airone 250 was among the most popular models of the brand. Over 15 years it was the best-selling medium-powered bike in Italy.

The Moto Guzzi motorcycles brought the first victory to the sportsmen as early as in 1921. The 1950s were marked by a number of prestigious prizes including the ones won in the International Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy).

Soon after the end of World War II, the Motoleggera 65 model, aka Guzzino, was created. For more than 10 years it remained the best-seller in Europe. It was characterised by easy handling, and only weighed 45 kg.

The Moto Guzzi motorcycles are used by government agencies in various countries. For example, in 2007 the company won the contract for the procurement of 35 units of Norge GTs for Berlin police. The same year, 20 units of California Vintage were provided for the Italian Presidential Honour Guard.

• Electronic throttle control. The position of the throttle valve is controlled with high precision, which contributes to stable engine operation.
• Frame fitted with anti-vibration engine mounts. It reduces the vibration produced by the running engine.
